Ipsy: July

image

Happy birthday to me I guess, Ipsy’s pretty exciting and I’m still a wee bit skeptical due to multiple poor reviews. However this month seemed to go over fairly well, for me anyways.

Model’s Own Nailpolish in Red Sea:
Not my colour by any means but the nailpolish does have a good formula and my youngest sister loves it (it’s all hers!). They can’t always have complete colour preference so I’m not super irritated about this, just a tad bummed that I didn’t luck out.

Pur-lisse SPF Moisturizer:
This was my fail product simply because it’s for normal to dry skin and I have very oily skin, plus my skincare is fairly solid right now so I wasn’t too keen to start with. I might use it under my eyes if I’m at the beach however because it does feel non-greasy and has an adequate SPF.

bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow 2.0:
I really like this actually, the colours are complimentary and could perform as their own eye look if necessary. Buttery shadows with minimal fallout and they wear all day!

Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm in Unique Pink:
Provides reasonable moisture and slight sun protection but I find little colour. This is mostly because unless you put concealer on your lips, or naturally have incredibly pale lips, it blends right in.

Clear Clinic Labs Vanished Clear Spot Treatment: I honestly have no idea if this works or not because I haven’t had any breakouts recently to be able to use this. I will say it smells exactly like my dermatologist prescribed acne medication, which to me says a lot.

Overall I’m pleased with what I received in my Ipsy for July, I feel as though some things could have gone a little better especially after seeing what some lucky subscribers got. Regardless I am continuing my subscription for the time being.
